Online accounts after a death: guides

Each platform has its own process for an account whose owner has died. These guides explain what each one offers, what it asks for, and how to make the request yourself. They are free to use and to share.

• Google and Gmail
• Instagram
• LinkedIn
• Amazon

More platforms are added as we write them.

Platforms change their forms without notice. We check each guide against the platform's own page, and the platform's page is the final word.

If you would rather not do this yourself, we can handle every account for you.
